The specific gene, AZGP1, produces a protein that provides the breakdown of fat. Cigarette smoke makes this gene work faster, making a slim line so easily maintained. This shows a study from Cornell University in New York.

For the study researchers examined the cells of healthy lungs and lungs of smokers. AZGP1 showed that the gene was active smokers in the lung.

Other studies even showed that the protein plays an important role in weight loss. Tests on mice revealed that there was no diet to lose weight, but if they got enough of the protein inside.

Anti-Smoking Organizations warn however that this study should be no reason for their deadly habit of smoking to justify.
